The Raven has landed

We picked him up about 3pm (the plane was a bit late unloading) and brought him home. He meeped once when we were getting ready to put him in the car.

We gave Bari an unplanned moment of concern when we didn't call right away. I thought "I'll call as soon as we get home; it's only 10 minutes". Then, of course, we spent 40 minutes in the garage getting the little guy settled. Of course, what seemed like a short time to us was days to Bari. I'm so sorry Bari! I know I would have been sitting by the phone and I'm sure you were too.

We've got him in a nice little "apartment" in the garage, more for his safety. Our vet wants him in quarantine for a couple of weeks to ensure that he didn't pick anything up enroute AND to be sure the worms are completely out of his system. We have a nice little space for him, in about a 4x4x4 cube, with rug on the floor and one side and a carpet-covered catfurniture cube in half the space. The pictures are awful but they show the space. Lots of air. A snuggly hideaway. Cat food and water on the upper level of the blue cube, far from the litter box. A fuzzy mouse.

This is going to be the longest two weeks...! He gets his second dose of de-worming medicine 3 weeks after the first.

Anyhoo , Richard is OK with Raven (that's for short, longer will be Ravenclaw) and I have told Rich he gets to choose the second name. Al cats should have at least two names. The third, of course, nobody else knows... more later.
