High Wire Act (reprise)

Our bedroom cat tree backs onto a sliding glass door & window with draperies and drapery rod. Yesterday morning, Raven decided to see if he could walk on the drapery rod. Once he got onto it, however, he decided he wasn't as wide as he had thought. So he balanced there for a while and then came back onto the cat tree. Very carefully.

Raven tried this once before, 6 months and several pounds ago. Since then, he's gotten a little bigger and a little rounder. 50% rounder!

When Raven came to live with us on April 27, he weighed just under 9 pounds (he weighed 8.7 when Bari rescued him). On Jan. 9, he weighed in at 13 and a quarter pounds! All those regular meals have helped a lot! (He gets plenty of exercise, though. No reason to fear about that!).
