On Tuesday night, I had to drive into the City. When I got home, I got out the map, to see if there was a better route in than the one I had taken. I spread the map between my side table and my desk.
Ohhhhhh. New paper. A place.
Bebop came and sat on part of the map. Not the part I was currently trying to read... that helped. Some. Bebop's back foot landed on my keyboard.

Bebop. Shove... Move your foot.
Oooh. Paper! Can I help?
Then Squirrel arrived. Squirrel decided to walk on the map. The part he wanted to walk on was the part between the side table and the desk. The part stretched over thin air. To get there, he walked on the keyboard.

Meanwhile, his front left foot kept trying to land on the map. If it succeeded, I was going to have a powdered-sugar donut-shaped hole in my map.

Despite their best efforts, hooman prevailed over cats. I managed to get the map mostly folded, Bebop out of the way, Squirrel off the keyboard, without damage to map, self, cats, or keyboard.
Maybe, some other time, perhaps while the cats are asleep, I will spread out the map and find a better route into the City.
