Funny kitties this morning. I was still in bed, awake but not yet having gotten up. Raven was working his way along the side of the bed (as he does), so I dropped the sheet over him and wooga-woogaed him a bit. Then Mezzaluna sat on the edge of the bed and watched the pile of sheet (and possibly Raven). She jumped down on the sheet; Raven pounced her. She jumped straight up and back on the bed.
A bit later, Raven had moved away and Mez stalked and pounced the sheet again. This time I put my hand under it aand made a gopher and she spent some time killing it (gnash, kickickick). Then, with Mezzaluna all silly and upside down, here comes Raven. He leaned in and grabbed her and she stretched her paws back over her head and grabbed him around the neck and they chewed on each other a bit. Then she yowled; he pounced; she turned and growled; he backed up; he pounced; she jumped on the bed. Raven proceeded to chase Mezzaluna across the bed, up onto the dresser. Up she went and over the T-short cabinet. up he went and followed. Then bumpeta bumpeta bumpeta down the hall and I could hear noises (snarl Yowl. Crash. whappatawhappata gallumph YOWL! bumpeta bumpeta bumpeta) in the rest of the house, then back they came into the bedroom and up onto the windowsill (growl. hiss. Gryowl. Mwrp).
I think Mezzaluna has decided Raven is OK. Raven certainly adores Mezzaluna!.
