We have, in our house, what Spouse and Self call "Teddy Bear fights". Envision two 16-17 pound Maine Coon cats, sparing like Grizzlies on Wild Kingdom. Posturing. Growling. Boxing. Ears back. Eye contact! Circling. Jump! Rollrollroll.
We can generally see where one of these Teddy Bear fights has taken place (even if we missed the actual event) by the tufts of orangey-creamy fur left on the rug. Teddy Bear fights can work as well as a good brushing for loosening and removing loose fur from the undercoat.
