Small glimpses into a life with cats...
Mezzaluna tearing into the kitchen at high speed, up the side of the cat tree, over the edge of the crow's nest and upside down through the hole... hanging there, suspended, then down through the hole, down the cat tree and away through the house.
All four cats obviously enjoying our new rugs. The pile must be nice under their paws (I know it's nice under mine!)
Raven racing to the door in the sunroom, then crouching, tail swishing from side to side. Neighborcat on the other side of the glass (watching me, not Raven, very intently). Raven hissing, gently. My house!
Bebop staring intently at the reservoir on our PetMate fountain after I filled it. As the water level went down and the bubble went up (bloop) he patted at the side of the plastic container. He didn't catch any bubbles though (bloop).
Drawing Bebop's attention to a moth in the screenporch by using his own word for bug - a high pitched "Eeeeeeeeeeeee".
Raccoons on the porch outside the sunroom, coming over to peek in the door at me. Bebop coming up beside me, watching the raccoons watch us.
Standing at the window in the screenporch with Raven, watching the raccoons on the sunroom roof and at the bird feeder.
Accidentally using the "bug" sound when there was no bug around and watching Bebop turn and look in all directions to find it. I'm sorry sweetie! Mama's a dumbo!
Squirrel on his back on the floor, fluffy tummy exposed. If I get up to pet it he'll run to the kitchen hoping for crunchies. I know this but still, I can hope!
Bebop on my lap, intent on Squirrel. Ears twitching, rear end twitching... Pounce! on the brother! Roll. Tussle.
Raven chasing Mezzaluna through the house.
Raven climbing up next to me as I read, settling into my left arm.
Mezzaluna settling into my lap, pushing the book away. "You don't need that. you have me!" Well, I guess I'll stop .
Bebop asleep on my outstretched legs, making little soft sighing sounds that Rich can hear from the other side of the rom. "Is that Bebop?". "Yes, he's dreaming."
Coming home in the afternoon. Squirrel is asleep on the couch. Raven is in the Keebler tree. Bebop comes from the bedroom, blinking sleepily. I share my lunch. Then down to my office where I set up to work in the afternoon. Bebop heads up into the righthand bucket above the monitors. A little while later, Squirrel comes and takes the bucket on the left. Mezzaluna appears from wherever she's been and settles into the kitty cup on the windowsill. An hour or so later, Rave comes in, walks along the desk in front of the keyboard and leeeaans into me asking for rubs.
