Walking on the Edge

Raven likes to walk along the edge of my desk, between my chest and my keyboard, as I type. He never walks on the keyboard or the wrist rest, so he's walking in a space about two inches wide.

When he's centered, he lifts his right rear leg (the one that's closest to me; he always travels from the same direction). He places his foot as high on my chest as he can and pushes off toward the keyboard in a roll (confident that I will catch him).

This maneuver ensures that when he's finished, he will have flipped over in place. He's now on his back, cradled in at least one of my arms, tummy up, front paws on my shoulder, happily purring.

Huggies!
