I woke up this morning with Squirrel nearby. He stretched, rearranged, and snuggled in close with my arm wrapped around him and we got in 20 minutes of extra cuddling.
Then in the later afternoon I went off for a nap as I often do on a Saturday. The cats know this...
Squirrel today decided to nap on the "extra pillow on my left. That is, normally, "Bebop's pillow" but we had last seen Bebop downstairs. Squirrel got all comfy, kneading the pillow to his satisfaction, then curling into a pillow himself.
Then Mezzaluna came and lay on my chest as she often does. I rubbed her head. She got all comfy.
The three of us were happy, content, warm, and snuggly.
And here comes Bebop to join us. Hello Bebop.
There is someone on my pillow.Bebop, you're sitting on Mezzaluna's head.If I can't lie on my pillow, I will lie on Vicki's chest and make meaningful eye contact and slurp her ears.
Mezzaluna is in the way.
Perhaps I can fit myself into this little spot here.
Tell her to move.
We finally settled in with Mezzaluna along my leg and Bebop half on my chest, half on the bed. Bebop takes his prerogatives as cat-in-charge very seriously.
