It will be an "interesting" day...

Sometime after 3pm

We're Calm Now

This morning, while the roofers banged and thumped, Mezzaluna was nowhere to be found. She "Chesired" away for a couple of hours. She finally reappeared under my desk. Squirrel hid under my computer desk. Raven hunkered behind my chair (or followed me if I left the room).

Bebop sat most bravely in the bedroom, upstairs, eyes and ears tracking every little sound. I eventually convinced him that he could be just as Brave and Vigilant downstairs, where it wasn't quite as noisy.

As the worst of the noise (the old roof removal and the attachment of new plywood) has abated, the cats have been calming down. About an hour ago Mezzaluna was tummy up on "her" table. Squirrel has come out from under my desk. Bebop has allowed his eyes to close. Raven is now asleep.

Kitties are stress and noise barometers.
